EXPEDITION TO KR COUNTRY WITH HOPE TO HELP THOSE WHO NEED HELP

PAGE 4

Repair job took about one hour. Now I was very worried about the time. After all we were  deep in the bush country plenty of God  very and very few people, roads are bad, cars have taken a lot of beating and started to show their frustration and the day was wearing out rather rapidly. I decided quietly that this is the last one if another incident like or similar happens we should return. It did not happened and finally we reached the village.

On this flat country most of the houses were build on stills to avoid flooding and also to keep cool. To my surprise there are quite few large houses with galvanized steel roofs indicating "money".   Then I remembered a recent event. Few weeks ago half of the Army and the air-force had raided this area and reportedly burned thousands of dollars worth  Ganja.

Immediately after the raid the prime minister visited the area and when he asked to villagers why they grow such an illegal crop villagers explained to him that without roads that is the only way they can effectively use their resources .Apparently villagers found the right crop which has very high price/weight ratio. One way of mitigating the transport problem. Villagers of the world always find a way to survive by being resourceful.

We also hear that the raid was deliberately delayed and the crop was taken out and delivered a day before the raid and what was burned by the army was not the real thing.

Any way we said goodbye to villagers and set off  for return but by then the sun touch the tip of the nearby hills and  we still have a three-hour trip if no incident would take place.

Hard luck..????
